mission and values of SQCSupporting Scotland’s crop growers to access the widest available and most lucrative markets and industry development opportunities, and giving them a voice in the industry.

  • Market Access
We provide our 3,200 members with the recognition to open doors to new and existing markets to expand your reach and increase your profitability.

Your Voice in the Industry
SQC acts on behalf of all growers, advocating for your interests, influencing policy decisions at national and international levels. Taking on supply chain challenges at industry level and protecting growers from tackling them at farm level.

Cooperative
Our board is a cooperative of seven organisations purposefully selected from across the supply chain.

Independent
SQC has appointed an independent certification body, Food Integrity Assurance, to conduct assessments and certification. FIA also delivers assessments for QMS and
LEAF, which means it can combine assessments and reduce duplication for SQC members.

Knowledge
SQC has access to a valuable forum of insights and knowledge through its cross-sector board and newly established Scottish Crops Supply Chain Hub. This allows it to anticipate industry development
and create a supportive business environment for growers to maintain their competitive edge.

Traceability
Providing the traceability that the market demands.

Market Driven
Our standards are formed by and for growers and grain buyers. Our crop quality and traceability scheme ensures safe and  environmentally friendly production of arable crops in Scotland. Our aim is to make sure that the mechanics are in place to allow easy access to the most attractive markets.
